Derbyshire arts centre celebrates the world of music
Concerts include African
fingerstyle guitar from ‘the Hendrix of the Sahara’ Vieux Farka Toure, the sounds of the
Mongolian Steppe with AnDa Union and American country music with Gretchen Peters.

Hide AdVieux Farka Toure will be visiting the Pavilion Arts Centre on February 2, demonstrating his expertise in many music styles.
The son of blues guitarist Ali, Vieux is regularly at the top of the New World charts. In
this concert he has support from charismatic Irish troubadour Alan Burke.
World music will be on the doorstep on February 10 when AnDa Union brings traditional music from the Mongolian Steppe. The group’s concert celebrates the rich and exotic sounds of their country’s past.
