Jury deliberates fate of Benjamin Edwards
Benjamin Edwards, 22, is accused of unlawfully killing 26-year-old Mr Henchliffe, who died in hospital nine days after an incident outside the Pomegranate Theatre in Corporation Street, Chesterfield, during the early hours of July 3 last year.
The prosecution claims Edwards punched Mr Henchliffe outside the theatre in an 'act of aggression'. Edwards, of Fieldview Place, Chesterfield, denies manslaughter and argues he 'threw a punch' at the former soldier as he feared he was going to harm his friend.
