Chesterfield fans greet a legend at the Proact
The former professional, now a pundit, shared anecdotes from his career, in an event that raised funds for the Chesterfield Community Trust.
A sell out crowd listened to Davies, still Chesterfield’s second youngest-ever first team player, talk about his time at Saltergate, his role in the 1994/95 promotion winning side and the Spireites’ unforgettable run to the semi-finals of the FA Cup in 1997.

Hide AdDavies scored against Scarborough in the second round and added a hat-trick at Burnden Park in the fourth round tie against Bolton Wanderers.
Davies was joined by a number of other Spireites personalities on the night - including John Duncan, Kevin Randall, Mark Jules, Andy Morris and Jon Howard.
John Croot, CEO of the Community Trust, said: “I would like to thank everyone who contributed to make it a memorable night. I was very happy to see so many people attend the event and support us.
“I’d like to thank Kevin and the other Chesterfield legends who made this possible and raised valuable income for the Trust. This encourages us to host events like this in the future and gives more fans the opportunity to meet some of our legends.”
